SSI’s Environmental team— Bohlweki-SSI Environmental — provides a broad range of environmental consulting services. While our primary focus is on Southern Africa, we are also active in sub-Saharan Africa. We have provided expertise and undertaken projects for both public and private organisations, as well as international donor agencies. Our aim is to provide a one-stop environmental service to clients and in the process, complement their products, services and processes.
Bohlweki-SSI Environmental provides comprehensive integrated environmental management services. Since 1995, it has provided expertise and undertaken a wide variety of projects for both public- and private-sector organisations. This range of environmental management experience enables Bohlweki to provide key input into small and large development initiatives. Bohlweki has experience in undertaking a broad range of projects, ranging from those of a strategic nature to site-specific projects, including the obtaining of all relevant environmental permits and authorisations.
Bohlweki Environmental has had a working relationship with SSI since its founding in 1995. In 1997, the environmental arm of SSI joined forces with Bohlweki in return for a 20% shareholding held by SSI. In 2005, this relationship was further entrenched when SSI became the majority shareholder in Bohlweki. In 2008 SSI acquired the remaining interest in the company and it is now an integrated sector business within SSI Engineers & Environmental Consultants.
